The London Chocolate Forum
Friday 6th of October saw the Knighton Foods Ingredients team attending the 2017 London Chocolate Forum. Hosted by Angus Kennedy, one of the chocolate industries most respected individuals the event took place at The Crystal building in the heart of Royal Victoria Docks in London and boasts “a prestigious chocolate industry conference for senior management from within the international chocolate trade”.
As well as attending the conference the Knighton team were fortunate enough to have secured an exhibition slot. This provided the team with the opportunity to show and demonstrate the real chocolate powder that we produce too many of the world’s largest chocolate manufacturers and discuss how our suite of processes and expertise, including spray crystallisation could benefit their businesses. The history of Knighton Foods site in Staffordshire was also a great deal of interest to many of those who attended the event, with a history steeped in chocolate this was the perfect opportunity to not only talk about the expertise that Knighton has in dealing with chocolate, but also to share the pride the whole team at Knighton have in what it does.
Companies in attendance included, Barry Callebaut, Cargill Cocoa and Ferrero along with a whole host of other ‘movers and shakers’ from within the chocolate industry. The conference provided the team with an excellent setting and opportunity to meet these companies and has already presented some opportunities to work further with the industry, to learn and collaborate on some new and exciting projects.
